Can we activate the world through embedded patterns, rather than embedded systems?
This blog is a cut-up of a dissertation in progress. Each day, I will post my favorite sentence that I have newly scribed. Everything out of context, but suggestive. I hope.

I'm a game designer, a games researcher, and a future forecaster. I make games that give a damn. I study how games change lives. I spend a lot of my time figuring out how the games we play today shape our real-world future. And so I'm trying to make sure that a game developer wins a Nobel Prize by the year 2032. serious about the world?....are you kidding....the world is over...
If you mean that we harness the tonal qualities that resonate when our collective subconscious perceives the long established and largest of patterns observable throughout history (the planets)and tweak/combat/augment the current flow of force/situation (that we're trying to change) to create a new tone - and thus, a new reality...then yes - especially if you velcro a turbo onto that puppy.
as long as the patterns are easy on the eyes :)
Have you read Henry Adams' "The Virgin and the Dynamo"? from The Education of Henry Adams? He talks about patterns in forces.
